Did you know that Iceland used to have terrible rates of drug and alcohol use among its youth, but that these have plummeted in the last twenty years?
Curious how they did it? Check out this video. It popped up on my Facebook feed last week, and I knew I had to share it with you. (Hint: They did not just ask teens to say no. )
What I love most about Iceland's solution to teen drug abuse is that their
parents, teachers, and community leaders are working together in a true partnership to reduce behaviors that harm teens the most (and have been doing so for twenty years!).
